Massive Oklahoma Teachers Strike at State Capitol

There’s a massive teacher strike in Oklahoma over at the state’s capitol. They’re wanting the state legislature to increase teacher’s salaries and provide better funding for the state’s crumbling public school system. I wasn’t able to get a good picture but at one point I saw a protester’s sign that said some of his textbooks were older than his students.

Just to give you an idea as to how big the demonstration was I spent almost an hour driving around ’til finally finding a parking spot. LOL, cars were also parked on the side of neighborhood streets up to several blocks away.

Here’s a video recording visiting the area:

Site Owners – Support Net Neutrality (here’s how)

On July 12th, 2017 there will be a massive show of support for Net Neutrality.

Sites from across the web will display a prominent alert on their homepage that shows the world what the web will look like without net neutrality. There are “spinning wheel of death”, “blocked”, and “upgrade” alert modals; plan to use the one that best fits your site to encourage users to send a letter to the FCC and Congress in support of net neutrality.

To use these, you need to embed a bit of javascript in the header of your site. Click here to try them out, and then be sure to grab the code on GitHub.
