Not My President? You Made This Bed, Deal With It

I’ve followed the 2016 Presidential election since almost the beginning and this is my brutally honest opinion on the anti-Trump protesters (sometimes rioters). I’m not sure how staging mass protest AFTER an election is going to accomplish anything. It seems that such demonstrations would’ve been much productive beforehand but okay…

I’ve been seeing these statements as of late from social justice warriors who are painting an overly simplistic picture. Saying this Trump victory is ultimately thanks to the alt-right’s bigotry and nothing else. Umm no there’s plenty of blame to pass around, such as the mass voter suppression by the DNC. Plus, there were many Hillary supporters who absolutely refused to listen to reason when pointing this all out. We warned that the wrong candidate was being backed and there might be a backlash later on. Many seemed obsessed in wanting a woman elected as president, regardless of the individual’s track record.

Unfortunately, it looks like our fears were correct thanks to this unusual poll that saw the warning signs in advance. Up to 40% registered Democrats decided to go for Trump and many of which were women! So it wasn’t just bigoted right-wing voters, the left managed to do a good job at alienating themselves from many ordinary hardworking Democrats.

3rd Party Voters Are Not To Blame For Trump Getting Elected

Even if Jill Stein or Gary Johnson came close to “spoiling” the election for Trump or Hillary it’s ludicrous to blame someone for voting who they think is the most qualified. Frankly, it’s victim blaming to scold disenfranchised voters for refusing to back candidates who are part of the problem.

3rd Party Candidates Did Well This Year

Lately on social media I’ve read a lot of people express big disappointment with the 2 party system. I had a feeling voter turnout for 3rd parties would be higher in this election cycle as compared to others in recent years. So far both Gary Johnson and Jill Stein of the Green party have grabbed roughly about 5% of the vote. Additionally, that number could rise higher since a few states are still counting ballots. While that percentage is not near enough to obtain electoral votes, the norm for 3rd party candidates is usually less than 1%.

I’ve have an interesting article copied down below that echoes and elaborates on some of the things I wrote about in my last blog.

2016 Presidental Election results – Afterthoughts

Just my quick 2 cents soon after the election ended

Hillary’s strong lead is now wavering

Even The Young Turks who has been nothing but a cheerleader for Hillary since her nomination is beginning to have doubts. Not only are the “Deplorables” in social media questioning Clinton’s “strong” poll numbers but many of the BernieOrBust crowd who are now backing Jill Stein are also saying she’s at big risk of losing to Trump. I think that says a lot since they don’t really like either of these 2 big candidates.

Democratic Primary & Possible Fraud

Not long after the conclusion of the 2016  Democratic primary , some volunteers and statisticians got together to investigate the election results. The group is called Election Justice USA and they came up with some rather interesting statistics.

If you read the PDF linked below you can tell there’s a big difference between poll numbers and the vote count on the Democrat side. In fact, in some states the polls vs vote count was way beyond the margin of error and this implies voter fraud may have taken place.
